We drove our rental Noovo Plus from Noovo’s Los Angeles Boutique north out of LA, along I-5, ending up at Stanger Vineyards for the night. This post is about the drive… which ended up taking an hour longer than expected.

We stopped at a Ralphs grocery store to buy food and other supplies for the van:

The van is 20’ 11” long, or a bit more with the storage box and spare tire on the back. So a little long for a regular parking space, but we could have parked another couple of feet further forward, and mostly fit; one of the nice things about a van:

Another nice thing is being able to load groceries directly into the van:

Uh oh, over an hour of traffic delay, due to a crash… which turned out to be a truck with a blown front tire blocking a lane of traffic:

It was a hot day, so we turned on the roof AC to help the dash AC; here are the control panels, with the top one indicating taking in 196W of solar, outputting 1104W for the air conditioner and roof-mounted Starlink, at 90% battery capacity:

1 hour 41 minutes later, 111W solar, 1186W for air conditioner, 88% battery, 5 hours 13 minutes capacity left; we turned the AC off to avoid running it down too much, since we wouldn’t have hookups overnight:
